SIDSP sensors
SIDSP® stands for Sensor-Integrated Digital Signal Processing: this technology completely processes signals into digital form inside the sensor at the time and point of measurement. Unlike conventional techniques, these sensors create and control the excitation signals for the sensor head inside the sensor. The return signals are digitally converted and processed at 32 bits of accuracy to give an entire coating thickness value.
This technique uses highly sophisticated digital signal processing methods known from modern telecommunication technologies (mobile phone networks), such as digital filters, base band converting, averaging, stochastic analysis, etc., and enables users to achieve a signal quality and precision unmatched by analog signal processing and digitally transmit the thickness value via the sensor cable to the display unit. This technology offers decisive advantages and improvements compared to the commonly used analog sensors. Moreover, these sensors guarantee the following:
- High stability of measuring signals
- The characteristic curves feature high accuracy
- Provide excellent adaptability
- N and FN sensors compensate for substrate conductivity (sold separately)
- Hhighly insensitive to changes in temperature
- Wear-resistant
- Future-oriented solutions
Applications
- Automotive
- Ship building
- Steel and bridge construction
- Electroplating
