The Megger HFCT SC60 (1012 681) Split-Core High Frequency Current Transformer (HFCT) Sensor, 60mm Inner Diameter, is designed for decoupling of partial discharge (PD) signals and can be used for multiple applications in MV, HV and EHV range. The HFCT sensor is attached around the cable / accessories earth connection, e.g. a cable earth screen. The split-core HFCT is ideal for spot testing where there is direct access to the earth screen. The split-core HFCT can also be used inside switchgear cabinets, but then in most cases, as of safety reasons, an outage is required.
