Hioki CT6873-01 200A DC to 10 MHz Current Sensor 10m
AC/DC Current Sensor, 200A, DC to 10 MHz, 10M Cable
The Hioki CT6873 has a frequency bandwidth of DC to 10 MHz and a rated current of 200 A. It is used for R&D, quality evaluation, manufacturing, and maintenance in markets such as wireless charging systems, inverter motors for industrial equipment, power conditioners for PV, and quick charging facilities for EVs.
Hioki's pass-through type AC/DC current sensors can be connected directly to Hioki Power Analyzers and Memory HiCorders. Also, they can be connected to Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, DMMs, etc. by using an optional sensor unit.
Pass-through sensors deliver the ultimate level of accuracy and stability. With a broadband measurement of up to 10 MHz and measurement of large currents of up to 2000 A, they’re used in state-of-the-art research and development, and in applications that require high measurement accuracy, for example, evaluation of inverter equipment and evaluation of loss in reactors and transformers.
Additionally, sensors that can resist noise are necessary since noise becomes stronger as the frequency increases. These current sensors measure power accurately while providing robust noise resistance over a broadband of frequencies. In high-frequency measurement, sensors’ resistance to noise is critical. A sensor’s ability to remove noise is expressed by its common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR). Sensors with a high CMRR reject more noise and therefore can make more accurate measurements
High-accuracy sensors use the "zero flux method (flux gate detection type)." High-frequency currents are detected with the winding (CT method), and DC to low-frequency currents are detected using a "flux gate."
Flux Gate Detection
Flux gate detection delivers outstanding linear properties and can measure currents of a wide range of magnitudes with high accuracy. The fluxgate components used for DC detection have very low offset over a wide temperature range due to their operating principle, resulting in high accuracy and excellent temperature stability. It is ideal for measurements that require high accuracy, such as Power analyzers and Power meters. It can be used for measurements such as inverter efficiency, inverter output power, reactor/transformer loss, and long-term DC measurements.
