The removable, stainless steel weighing platform can handle bulky samples in a variety of applications, including postal weighing, soil-sampling, or for home-use dietary needs. The scale can be operated using AC power or three standard AA batteries, offering full mobility in the field and when a power supply is hard to find, for up to 300 hours. When running on batteries, the scale turns off automatically after approximately four minutes if no weighing activity is occurring. The scale has an external calibration system, operated from the front-facing keypad (calibration masses not included), to ensure accurate measurements.
